The problem

Two systems, two versions of the truth.

Your website knows. Your counter does not.

The webshop has last night's orders and today's stock. The shop floor has a separate till and a printed stock sheet, and the two only meet in a spreadsheet on Monday.

Every till you looked at wants its own database.

So you end up syncing products out, syncing sales back, and reconciling the gap by hand. The sync is where the errors live.

This one does not have a database.

eTechFlow POS reads and writes your Magento store directly. There is no second catalogue to maintain and no nightly job to babysit, because there is only ever one set of numbers.

How it works

What actually happens when someone buys something.

  1. 01

    Pair the till

    Create the register in your Magento admin, pair the device with a code, and staff sign in with a PIN. The terminal is trusted and the person is identified, on hardware you already own.

  2. 02

    Ring it up

    Scan a barcode, tap a product tile, search by name or SKU, or add a one-off line for a job that is not in the catalogue. Your Magento promotions and coupon codes apply on the spot, and tax is calculated from your own rules.

  3. 03

    Park it, serve the next customer

    Hold a basket under a customer's name, serve whoever is next, then pull it back from the held tray. The part of a busy counter that most tills get wrong.

  4. 04

    Take the money

    Cash with change and a drawer kick, card present on a cloud terminal, or a split across several tenders. Card details never touch the browser, so your PCI scope stays where it is.

  5. 05

    It becomes a real order

    The sale is placed and invoiced in Magento, stock comes off the right location, and a carry-out sale completes rather than sitting in Processing. Then the receipt prints, or goes to the customer's email.

  6. 06

    Close the day

    Cash in and cash out are logged through the shift, the drawer is counted at close, and the Z report reconciles what the till says against what is actually in the drawer.

The part that matters

The broadband drops. The queue does not.

Your catalogue, prices, tax rules and customers are cached on the device. When the line goes down, cash sales carry on exactly as before, queue up on the till, and replay themselves the moment the connection returns. Nothing is re-keyed and nothing is posted twice.

Card payments need the line, because card authorisation is real time. Cash does not, which is why the queue keeps moving.

Who it suits

Magento merchants who also sell in person.

Trade counters, showrooms, workshops and specialist retailers: the shops where a customer asks a question, the answer takes a minute, and the sale has to be rung up without leaving the counter. It is built on standard Magento extension points, so your own agency can support it. No black box.

Questions

The five things merchants ask first.

Do I have to buy new hardware?

No. It installs from the browser onto the tablet, laptop or desktop you already have, and prints to a network or Bluetooth receipt printer. There is no proprietary terminal to buy and no app store approval to wait for.

What actually happens when the internet drops?

Cash sales continue. The catalogue, prices, tax and customers are already cached on the device, so the till completes the sale, prints the receipt, and shows how many sales are waiting to sync. When the connection returns they replay automatically, and each one carries an idempotency key so a replay can never create a duplicate order.

Where do in-store sales end up?

In Magento, as ordinary orders in your normal order grid. They are invoiced, stock comes off the right MSI location, and they appear in your reporting beside your online sales. That is the whole point of the product.

Will it clash with my theme?

No. The POS is its own application served by your store, so it does not touch your storefront templates. The interface is Hyvä-native, so it looks like it belongs to your store rather than like a bolted-on tool.

Which card terminals does it support?

Card runs through a cloud terminal, driven by the server rather than the browser, which keeps card data out of the device entirely. We are running Stripe Terminal today, and the payment layer is deliberately processor-agnostic. Tell us what you use on the demo call and we will tell you straight whether it is supported.
